what is it?

Beco do Hulk, located in Ermelino Matarazzo, in the eastern zone of São Paulo, is a famous open-air gallery dedicated to urban art, especially graffiti. The place got its name from the character Hulk, who stands out among the various works covering the walls of the alley. Over the years, Beco do Hulk has become a cultural landmark, symbolizing artistic resistance and showcasing the urban culture of the region, as well as being a gathering place for events that promote the appreciation of graffiti and interaction between residents and street art. This open-air gallery provides the local community with a more colorful and dynamic environment, fostering a sense of belonging and transforming the urban space through art.

“I consider it an ‘extension’ of Beco do Batman. If someone from here cannot go to the western zone to visit the alley, they can enjoy a similar tourist space here in the eastern zone.”
